Jay Haide follows
quality of tradition
Several decades ago, master luthiers Jay Ifshin and Haide Lin combined their knowledge, work and names in the USA. The result is the world-famous Jay Haide brand of string instruments.
Today, Ifshin Violins makes quality stringed instruments that are renowned around the world. The strings are distinguished by their brilliant, pure tone. They are made using the aged wood method and antique look, and are distinctive and unique in the world market for the way they are made.
The Jay Haide brand of stringed instruments is designed for beginners as well as for the more demanding musicians.

Jay Haide stringed instruments have an antique reproduction – aged look and are handmade from aged high quality wood, maple rib and spruce.
The high-quality ebony parts on the neck are adapted to the violin with precision by hand, which is reflected in the positioning of the keel and the strings with the bow.
The dyeing process uses the natural golden-red colours of oil varnishes.
Every violin is thoroughly inspected by a master luthier before setup. The luthier then positions the soundpost and bridge, fits the strings with the tailpiece, and installs the pegs.

Jay Haide string instruments come equipped with carefully selected fittings: a Wittner tailpiece, a Milo Stamm bridge, Dominant/Thomastik strings, and a “Guarneri-style” chinrest that blends seamlessly with each instrument.
